One of our specialties is marine detailing, the process of applying different products to specific areas and components of the vessel. Whether gel coated or painted, the vessel requires wax/polish to protect it from UV rays, saltwater, acid rain, bird droppings and other elements in the atmosphere that will cause oxidation/dullness to the finish. The metals, powder coating, soft goods, canvas and enclosures are all affected if not treated with a protective agent.

We use the best of quality products to preserve these exterior areas of the vessel with several steps that must be taken to properly detail the vessel. First, the entire vessel must be washed down inside and out, top to bottom including all storage compartments and lockers. Once dry, wax/polish is applied to all gel coat/painted surfaces down to the water line. Next all metals, soft goods, canvas and enclosure are treated with a specific product designed for the specific component. This is what we call “The Full Detail”

We also offer monthly and weekly Washdown Cycles. A Washdown Cycle is simply cleansing the vessel with soap and water using scrub brushes, soft wash mitts, and a specific soap that won’t remove wax/polish from the gel finish. Once completely washed, all areas are dried with a chamois mop/towel.

Rates are determined after discussions are had with the client and the vessel is viewed/inspected by one of our technicians.

Copeland marine also offers a monthly preventative maintenance program. This program includes a wash down cycle, wax/polish reapplication, electrical/mechanical systems inspection, and exercising the vessel. It’s very important to test all systems on a regular basis to ensure proper performance.
