Copeland Marine, LLC provides exceptional service to all clients. Our specialty is marine detailing, which is a process of applying different products to specific areas and components of the vessel. The gel coat or the paint of a vessel requires wax or polish to protect it from UV rays, saltwater and other elements in our atmosphere that can cause oxidation and dullness to the finish. The stainless, aluminum, seat cushions, and canvas also can be affected, if not treated with a protective coating.
We use a wide array of quality products to preserve these exterior areas of a vessel. There are several steps that must be taken to properly detail a vessel. First, the entire vessel must be washed down inside and out, top to bottom including all storage compartments and lockers. Once dry, wax or polish is applied to all gel coat surfaces all the way down to the water line. Next all stainless, aluminum, seat cushions, and canvas is treated with a specific product. This is what we call “The Full Detail”.
• Rates for Full Detail can range from $15 to $30 per foot and are determined by the size, condition of the vessel, and the quality of the protective product we are using.
We also offer monthly and weekly Washdowns. A Washdown is simply cleansing the vessel with soap and water using scrub brushes, soft wash mitts, and a specific soap that won’t remove wax or polish from the gel coat. After a vessel has been completely washed, it is wiped dry with a chamois cloth.
• Rates for Washdowns range from $2 to $3 per foot.
Copeland marine also offers a monthly preventative maintenance program. This program includes wash downs, sea strainer cleansing, filling batteries with distilled water, and exercising the vessel. We have licensed captains that can maneuver the vessel in wind and current properly.
• Rates are negotiable and available upon request.
